More Than One in Four Will Watch Tonight’s Clinton-Trump Debate – Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Are you one of the more than one in four people in America who will be watching? Here are all the ways you can – including right here!

Tonight, Monday, Sept. 26, more than one in four people in the U.S. are expected to watch the historic, first Hillary Clinton-Donald Trump presidential debate. That’s an estimated 80-100 million folks who will be tuning in – and according to one poll, half of them will make their decision on which candidate they want in the White House by the candidates’ responses tonight.

The debate will begin at 9:00 PM EDT, although all the major news networks began their “coverage” days ago. It’s expected to last about 90 minutes.

“NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt will moderate the debate at New York’s Hofstra University on Long Island.

The event will be available on these TV networks: ABC, CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, Fox, Fox News, MSNBC, NBC, and PBS.

Online, Twitter and Facebook (ABC) will offer live streams of the debate, as will The New York Times.

You can also watch online via Apple TV, Sling TV, and many news channels’ apps, available for iOS and Android, and on those stations’ online sites, including these: ABC News, Bloomberg TV, CBS News, CNNgo (subscription required), MSNBC, and of course, NBCNews.

You can also watch live below, via NBC’s and PBS’ YouTube streams:

Telemundo will also offer a YouTube livestream closer to the start of the debate.

Follow along on social media using the hashtags #Debates and #Debates2016. I’ll be tweeting my personal thoughts on the debate – you can follow me at @davidbadash, and also be sure to follow NCRM’s reporting online, on our Facebook page, and on Twitter at @NewCivilRights or @GayCivilRights.

Hillary Clinton’s team has already put out a guide, the Trump campaign as not:

The Clinton camp now says they’re expecting a more subdued Trump to appear on stage, and not the attacker-in-chief.

We’ll see.
