Trump: Under My Policies 9/11 ‘Most Likely’ Would Not Have Happened
Desperate to Change the Subject From the Gold Star Family He Attacked, Trump Regurgitates His ‘Greatest Hits’
Donald Trump says that under his policies the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania “most likely” would not have happened. The embattled Republican presidential nominee told supporters Wednesday afternoon in Florida that his proposed ban on Muslims, which he has extended to any country that has experienced terrorism, would have prevented the 9/11 terrorists from entering the U.S.
“By the way, those people who knocked down the World Trade Center, most likely under the Trump policy wouldn’t have been here to knock down the World Trade Center,” Trump said at a rally in Daytona Beach.
Trump reportedly also revisited his lies about thousands of people dancing in the streets of New Jersey celebrating the fall of the Twin Towers, revisited his mocking of a reporter who has a congenital disability, and revisited his comments attacking Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
CBS News reporter Sopan Deb, who’s been closely following the Trump campaign, tweeted a portion of Trump’s comments, which are in large part false:
