Clinton Earns Post Convention Jump, Now Beating Trump by 7 Points
Trump Loses Ground, Clinton Favorability Rises
Hillary Clinton is now leading Donald Trump by 7 points in the latest CBS News poll, released Monday. The Democratic nominee is beating her GOP opponent 46-39, after the Republican convention brought the two candidates to a tied race.
Clinton’s favorability also rose, earning her 5 points among registered voters, and her unfavorability ratings have dropped. She now has a 36/50 favorability/unfavorablity rating. Trump’s unfavorability is now 31 percent, 52 percent unfavorable.
Among those respondents who said they don’t know which candidate they would choose, 46 percent say they are leaning towards Clinton, 41 percent say they are leaning Trump.
