Encouraging Russian Espionage Was Just One Part of Trump’s Crazy Comments

Donald Trump late Wednesday morning began a press conference in Florida, and was literally out of breath as he took to the microphone. Over the next 90 minutes or so the Republican nominee for president, Donald Trump, the self-described “law and order candidate,” encouraged Russian hackers to engage in espionage against his opponent, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.

Yes, espionage:

“It would be interesting to see, I will tell you this, Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump, speaking directly to Russia, told reporters a Florida news conference, as NCRM reported earlier. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

Trump, stunningly, doubled down on his remarks after the press conference, expanding the scope beyond Russia, with this tweet:

But that wasn’t the only stunning remark Trump made.

He also denied having any Russian ties, and said he has never met Putin, despite having bragged last year he did meet Putin and the two get along well.

He also told an NBC News reporter, Katy Tur, to “be quiet,” claimed “France is no longer France,” said Russian President Putin salled President Barack Obama the “n” word, thought Democratic Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, now the Democratic vice presidential nominee, was the governor of New Jersey. Trump’s top vice presidential candidate and surrogate, Chris Christie, is the governor of New Jersey.
