FBI Interviews Hillary Clinton, Suggesting Investigation Nearing End
Clinton Says She’s ‘Pleased to Have Had the Opportunity to Assist the Department of Justice’
Hillary Clinton spent about three and a half hours speaking with the FBI Saturday morning, reportedly to discuss her private email server. This is the first time Clinton has been interviewed by the Dept. of Justice on the email server and indicates their investigation is nearing its end.

“Secretary Clinton gave a voluntary interview this morning about her email arrangements while she was secretary,” Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement, as CNN reports. “She is pleased to have had the opportunity to assist the Department of Justice in bringing this review to a conclusion. Out of respect for the investigative process, she will not comment further on her interview.”
ABC News adds the “Justice Department’s goal is to complete the investigation and make recommendations on whether charges should be filed before the two major party conventions take place toward the latter half of July, according to a source familiar with the investigation.”
Despite the right wing media’s obsession with false accounts regarding the Clinton email server, most credible accounts state the chances of the former Secretary of State facing any legal action or an indictment are miniscule.Â
