Breaking: Hillary Clinton Will Not Debate Bernie Sanders in California
‘Time Best Spent Preparing for a General Election Campaign’
Hillary Clinton will not be debating Bernie Sanders in California. Fox News had invited both candidates for the Democratic nomination to debate before the all-important California primary, and Sen. Sanders had agreed last week. The Clinton campaign has just announced they are declining.
“We have declined Fox News’ invitation to participate in a debate in California,” a Clinton spokesperson, Jennifer Palmieri, said in a statement. As we have said previously, we plan to compete hard in the remaining primary states, particularly California, while turning our attention to the threat a Donald Trump presidency poses.”Â
“We believe that Hillary Clinton’s time is best spent campaigning and meeting directly with voters across California and preparing for a general election campaign that will ensure the White House remains in Democratic hands,” Palmieri added.

Clinton skipping Fox debate doesn’t seem too surprising after she told CNN of whether she will be the nominee: “that is already done.”

“I should also add that I hope Sec Clinton will keep her word in terms of engaging in a debate here in CA,” @BernieSanders to press now

Hillary Clinton had literally nothing to gain by agreeing to debate Bernie Sanders on Foxnews. It could only hurt her.
