Watch Live: Mitt Romney Delivers Speech Calling Trump ‘A Phony’ and ‘A Fraud’

At 11:30 AM EST Mitt Romney will tell America that Donald Trump is “a phony, a fraud,” and urging Republicans to reject him. The speech comes hours before tonight’s GOP debate.

“His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University,” Romney is expected to say as he takes to the stage at the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics this morning.

“His domestic policies would lead to recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe,” the former GOP presidential nominee will say. “He has neither the temperament nor the judgement to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill.”

“A person so untrustworthy and dishonest as Hillary Clinton must not become president. But a Trump nomination enables her victory,” Romney will also say.

Earlier this week Romney slammed Trump for refusing to denounce the KKK:

You can watch the speech live above via PBS’s UStream, (rarely do these events begin on time, although Romney is usually punctual) or head over to local Salt Lake City’s KUTV for a live stream.
