NY Tabloid Continues Bold Attacks On Trump CandidacyÂ
The New York Daily News has repeatedly made clear exactly what it thinks of Donald Trump and his presidential campaign, but on Wednesday’s front page the tabloid went one step further, blaming voters for Trump’s historic double-digit primary win.
“Dawn of the Brain Dead,” reads the headline. “Clown comes back to live with N.H. win as mindless zombies turn out in droves,” the sub-head states.
“Clueless New Hampshire voters handed billionaire bore Donald Trump a ‘yuge’ victory in the first-in-the nation primary Tuesday, providing the mad mogul with a new round of ammo a week after a disappointing second-place finish in Iowa,” the cover story inside begins.
“More than three in 10 Granite State voters flocked to the foul-mouthed contender, throwing their support to him at levels beyond what the polls had predicted — a day after he referred to a Republican challenger Ted Cruz as a ‘pussy.'”
The Daily News recently has waged a righteous battle against the brash billionaire. On Monday, in response to Trump calling Ted Cruz a “pussy,’ its front page asked, “Is N.H. smarter than this 5th-grader?“
After Trump lost Iowa, the Daily News gave Trump the sad clown face treatment, labeling him “Dead Clown Walking.”
