British Parliament Right Now Is Debating Banning Trump For Hate Speech (Video)
UK MPs debate if banning Trump would make him a martyr, or if he should be judged as everyone else.
The British Home Secretary, equivalent to the U.S. Secretary of State, has banned 84 people from entering the UK in response to their hateful rhetoric and behavior. Right now, the British Parliament is debating making GOP presidential candidate the 85th.Â
There are two sides to the debate. On one side, some British Members of Parliament, like Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat, are saying that although Trump is “offensive,” and a “buffoon,” it would be wrong to ban him because it would effectively be entering into the U.S. presidential election.
“It is bad politics and judgement to intervene in the electoral process of other countries,” Tugendhat said.

Those opposed to the ban also are saying banning Trump would turn him into a martyr, and it would be better to “ridicule” him in a traditional British way.
Those supporting the ban cite their laws, others who have been banned, comparing him to them, including Michael Savage and anti-Muslim hate group head Pamela Geller.
Nearly 600,000 people have signed a petition requesting Trump to be banned from entering the UK. Trump has threatened to withdraw what he claims is $1 billion in UK investments if Parliament votes for the ban.
Wonder if those opposing Trump ban would welcome a political leader in a Muslim country who advocated banning all Christians from visiting.

Some of the MPs are now calling Trump and his comments “extremely dangerous,” and “impulsive and not well-informed.”
Labour MP Tulip Siddiq said, “I draw the line with freedom of speech when it actually imports violent ideology which is what I feel is happening.”

One MP cited a poll that found 65 percent of the British population disagrees with Trump.Â
