‘I Think She Will Be A Great Partner’ Jeb Bush Says Of His VP Pick (Video)
Who will be Jeb Bush’s vice presidential pick if he is the nominee? Apparently he’s been thinking about it.
Was Jeb Bush being coy, teasing out his plan, or just making a joke. Given that the former GOP frontrunner is now polling in the single digits, chances are America will never find out.
“Should I be elected president,” the former Florida governor, speaking to supporters in Waterloo, Iowa Tuesday afternoon, said, “I would have my vice president — I think she will be a great partner.”
Bush then either tried to take it back or tried to make it appear to have been a joke – it is unclear.
“I mean, did I say that out loud?” Bush queried. “We always talk about this with one gender in mind. I think we’ve reached the point in our country where maybe we should be a little less gender-specific about this.”
“Frankly, the one important element of selecting a vice presidential candidate is whether he or she is qualified to be president. Everything else is secondary,” Bush made sure to add.
