Angry Anti-Gay Consumer Gets Trolled By Facebook Vigilante Posing As Campbell’s Soup Service Rep
One woman shared her ugly feelings about gay people after Campbell’s Soup created a beautiful ad featuring a same-sex family. What she got in return was a mouthful.
Remember the adorable Campbell’s Soup ad from last month? The one that pays homage to Star Wars, with one dad saying “Cooper, I am your father,†and the other dad saying, “No, no, no! I am your father,†while they both feed their son a spoon full of soup? That was a real family, and fit perfectly into Campbell’s advertising campaign, “Made for real, real life.”
Of course, One Million Moms went ballistic, and the ad got a lot of press, especially after Stephen Colbert poured cold water all over the piping hot OMMs.
Meanwhile, on Campbell’s Facebook page, anti-gay consumers were quick to weigh in, attacking the 146-year old iconic company and threatening the company’s demise.
One Facebook vigilante, who may be the same one who has made a name for himself battling outraged consumers by pretending to be a customer service agent for several companies on Facebook, has done it again.Â
Take a look at this Facebook exchange which was posted to Imgur, with “Campbells ForHelp” trolling one outraged (and spelling-challenged) anti-gay former fan.
“I’m so sick of the Homeosexual agenda, You sell soup not but sex! Please take your ad down or you will not have a company anymore!”
It’s unclear what Jess was planning to do. After all, Campbell’s has been around for a while, and has annual revenue of about $8 billion, but hey, it’s nice to believe in something.
“It seems you somehow mistook two men feeding their child soup as a pornographic film depicting anal stimulation?,” the fake Campbell’s “ForHelp” agent responded.
This wasn’t Campbells ForHelp only attempt to hit a home run for equality.
Buzzfeed found several others. Here are a few. Take a look!Â
