Rafael Cruz: LGBT Community Is Going ‘To Try To Legalize Pedophilia’
Ted Cruz’s top political campaign surrogate, his father, warns attendees at the World Congress of Families that LGBT want to “push” the legalization of pedophilia.
At the World Conference of Families in Salt Lake City Wednesday, Rafael Cruz was filmed casually speaking with attendees in what appears to be a lobby, warning that what LGBT people “are going to push is to try to legalize pedophilia.”
The World Conference of Families is a four-day event that attracts the world’s top anti-gay activists and far right religious extremists who come together to discuss ways to roll back the civil rights advances of LGBT people and to mainstream their theocratic ideologies.

Rafael Cruz, whom many say is his son’s top advisor, earlier this year worked to repeal a Plano, Texas, non-discrimination ordinance, calling it “an attack on Judeo-Christian beliefs in America.”
In 2013 he claimed that “homosexual marriage… has nothing to do with homosexual rights,” and that the goal of same-sex marriage supporters “is the destruction of the traditional family.”Â
