Huckabee Slammed For Racist Tweet During Democratic Debate

Mike Huckabee live-tweeted his reactions during the Democratic debate, including a particularly racist one that he’s defending.

Tuesday night Republican Mike Huckabee unleashed his attacks on his Democratic presidential campaign opponents via Twitter.

There were stupid ones, like this:

Nonsensical ones, like this:

And then a string of racist tweets…

Yes, Huckabee parrots the GOP party line that “all lives matter” to denigrate and diminish the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement. Then he stereotypes about “burning cars,” and “shooting cops,” a direct link to Ferguson.

Huckabee follows up that attack with the “wisdom” of “sin,” which he habitually uses in response to every issue he can’t solve, as he did last week when he said “sin and evil” are the “root cause of violence,” and the Second Amendment is the “last line of defense.”

But it was this racist tweet that literally made headlines:

Raw Story called it “incredibly racist,” explaining his “comment is based on a common slur against Asians, inferring that they would like to eat your pet dog.”

The Huffington Post called it “strangely racist.”

The Daily News labeled it “a tweet casting a racial stereotype of dog-eating Koreans.”

Meanwhile, reaction on Twitter was immediate, including this from yours truly:

And many others:

Of course, Huckabee then defended his racist tweet, with this:
