Watch: GOP Congresswoman Furious When Clinton Laughs Hysterically At Awkward And Personal Question
Republican Rep, Martha Roby was none too pleased when she asked a personal and indelicate question and got laughter from the room, and Hillary Clinton, in response.
Alabama Congresswoman Martha Roby’s questions of Hillary Clinton didn’t go as planned.Â
The House’s Benghazi hearing on Thursday had already been a marathon, with Clinton showing up before 10:00 AM, and Roby’s line of questioning coming more than nine hours later.
Rep. Roby was reviewing the events of the night of Sept. 11, 2012, which was the the day of the Benghazi attacks.
“Who else was at your home, were you alone?” Roby asked.
“I was alone, yes,” Clinton replied.
“The whole night?” Roby asked.
“Well, yes, the whole night,” Clinton said, erupting with hysterical laughter, as did many in the audience behind her.
“Well, I don’t know why that’s funny,” Roby angrily responded.

Roby’s line of questioning could be taken three ways. One, she was just asking questions for the record, or two, she was trying to make it look like Clinton didn’t care about her people, or three, she was fishing.Â
Live on TV, the latter sounded more likely.

Seriously? Rep. Roby’s main indictment is that Clinton went home? pic.twitter.com/gB61Y7xjl8

After today, I think Biden was wrong. Jordan, Roskam, Roby and the other radical, badgering Republicans should be called her enemies by all.

This Rep. Roby is really out of control, an amateur. And she’s exposing the true goal of #BenghaziCommittee

I found AL Rep. Martha Roby’s #Benghazi “political performance” repugnant & offensive. I am so ashamed of this Congressional charade #horror

What’s the point of all this VERY SPECIFIC questioning from Rep Martha Roby? #BenghaziCommittee

A FWIW for my friends in the national media: Martha Roby faces a challenge from Tea Party hero Becky Gerritson in next year’s primary.

Update:
@gaycivilrights It was a ridiculous and disrespectful question to ask a United States SOS implying she fiddled while Benghazi burned.
