UPDATED: Kim Davis To Be Released From Jail

A federal judge has ordered Kim Davis released from jail.

U.S. District Judge David Bunning has ordered Kim Davis to be released from jail. He placed the Rowan County clerk in contempt of court on Thursday and ordered she stay there until she agree to do her job and issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples or resign.

Davis has done neither.

Bunning has warned Davis she is not to interfere with the issuance of marriage licenses.

CNN’s Martin Savidge reports the crowds gathering for Mike Huckabee’s “#ImWithKim Liberty Rally” haven’t been told Davis is being freed.
