Jared Fogle, formerly “Jared from Subway,” will plead guilty to federal charges including engaging in sex acts with a minor and receiving child pornography.
He became famous after losing several hundred pounds by eating Subway sandwiches, and becoming Subway’s spokesperson. Fogle made over 300 commercials for the sandwich giant, and grew their sales by up to 50 percent. But today he is pleading guilty in federal court in Indiana to charges that including engaging in sex acts with minors and receiving child pornography.
Subway dropped Fogle after news broke of the investigation.
Details of the plea agreement include a minimum of five years but less than 13 years in jail.
MSNBC reports Fogle is accused of engaging in sex acts with 14 minor girls, many of whom if not all of whom he paid. They also state court documents accuse Fogle of receiving images of girls as young as nine years old.
