Marco Rubio: Advancement Of Same-Sex Marriage ‘A Real And Present Danger’ To Christians (Video)
Watch as Marco Rubio shares his hostile notions about the co-existence religion with equality for LGBT people.
Marco Rubio recently sat down with Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody, and shared his thoughts on same-sex marriage and the Catholic Church.Â
Brody has been interviewing all the Republican presidential candidates, asking them questions about religion, politics, and marriage. This morning, Brody’s boss, Pat Robertson, shared a clip from the Rubio interview.

“We are at the water’s edge of the argument that mainstream Christian teaching is hate speech,” Rubio told Brody. “Today we’ve reached the point in our society where if you do not support same-sex marriage you are labeled a homophobe and a bigot. So what’s the next step after that, after they’ve done going after individuals?,” Rubio posited.
“The next step to argue is that the teachings of mainstream Christianity, the catechism of the Catholic Church, is hate speech,” the Tea Party freshman U.S. Senator from Florida claimed. “That’s a real and present danger.”
Rubio, who is running for president, at 43-years old is among the youngest candidates to ever seek the presidency. He might be a formidable opponent to the Democrats if he actually represented the will of the people, especially millennials, on issues like same-sex marriage and immigration, but he has chosen to align himself with the far right portions of his party instead.
