Despite his surprisingly strong performance in 2012 against Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum these days isn’t even polling in the top ten of likely GOP presidential candidates. But Santorum has never been one to consider public opinion so this afternoon in his home state of Pennsylvania, the controversial Republican announced he is running for president, once again.

Among those on the left, Santorum used to be considered a force to be reckoned with, one who might gain power and take America back decades.
