Former Pres. George H. W. Bush Hospitalized
Former President George H. W. Bush has been taken to the hospital by ambulance after experiencing “shortness of breath.”
George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States, Tuesday was taken to Houston Methodist Hospital “as a precaution,” according to NBC News and the former president’s office.
The 90-year old Republican who served as Ronald Reagan’s vice president before being elected to the nation’s highest office, has led an especially active lifestyle. He is being held for observation after experiencing shortness of breath.
Last year he was hospitalized for two months while battling bronchitis and other ailments.
As he has done many times in the past, this June Pres. Bush skydived to celebrate his birthday.
In September of last year, Pres. Bush served as the official witness at the wedding of Bonnie Clement and Helen Thorgalsen, a same-sex couple who own the general store in Kennebunk, Maine. The couple are friends of the Bushes.
The couple posted this photo to Facebook:
