This Has Been The Most Amazing Spirit Day Ever!
Spirit Day is the annual day where millions of people around the world wear purple to take a stand against bullying, and to support the LGBT community. And this year’s has been amazing!
Think about this for a moment.
Five years ago, in 2009, could you have imagined major corporations, top professional sports leagues, celebrities, and millions of ordinary people wearing purple and standing up to fight bullying and support the LGBT community?
We have come so far in such a short period of time!
In 2010, then-teenager Brittany McMillan created Spirit Day, and our friends at GLAAD have taken the baton and run with it, making this year, from everything I can see, the most successful Spirit Day ever!
Take a look at these tweets from all over, and head on over to GLAAD’s Spirit Day page. And thank GLAAD for their amazing work!
