Breaking: Ray Rice Fired By NFL’s Ravens After Graphic, Violent Video – Reactions
The Baltimore Ravens have terminated Ray Rice’s contract. Not everyone is satisfied.
This morning TMZ published a shocking and violent video depicting Ray Rice slugging his then-girlfriend Janay Palmer. Minutes ago, the Baltimore Ravens announced they have now terminated Rice’s contract. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell gave Rice a two-game suspension earlier this year.

The video shows Rice hitting Palmer, who is now his wife, in an Atlantic City casino elevator.
Some insiders reported that the NFL had seen this “new” video that TMZ released today, while the NFL denies that allegation.
Twitter and social media erupted with charges of misogyny and wife beating upon news of the news video being published.

Still, even after the news of Rice’s firing, Twitter users were not satisfied.

Roger Goodell’s position as Commissioner of the NFL is no longer tenable. Whether he saw the #RayRice video or he did not, he failed.

But really, @NFL . You couldn’t figure this out until @TMZ stepped in? #rayrice

They are all playing damage control. No one should be congratulated for a move that should have happened sooner. #RayRice

The @nfl either saw the video & came up with the #RayRice suspension or didn’t see it. Either way, it’s a negative indictment on Goodell.

Shorter @Ravens: We cheered #RayRice, we enabled Ray Rice, but now that you all have seen the video, we’re horrified by what Ray Rice did.

@Ravens certainly don’t deserve applause here because if @TMZ didn’t release that video he’d be suiting up & playing in a few weeks #rayrice
