Christian Leaders In Liberia: ‘God Is Angry’ And Sent Ebola In Response To ‘Homosexualism’

In yet another indication of how American Evangelicals have infected the African continent, Christian leaders in Liberia are blaming “homosexualism” for the Ebola outbreak that has killed nearly 1000.

After attending a meeting, Christian leaders in Liberia have published a statement blaming gay people for the outbreak of Ebola, a deadly virus with no known cure that has to date killed 932 people.

The Daily Observer reports that church leaders at the meeting unanimously agreed ‘God is angry with Liberia’ and concluded Ebola has been sent ‘as a plague’ on the country,” the Independent UK reports.

A statement detailing the resoloution summarised:“Liberians have to pray and seek God’s forgiveness over the corruption and immoral acts (such as homosexualism, etc.) that continue to penetrate our society.

“As Christians, we must repent and seek God’s forgiveness.”

Of course, this is nothing new. LGBT people are continually blamed by so-called Christians for a long list of natural — and man-made — disasters.

James Dobson, founder of the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family, blamed same-sex marriage for the mass-shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary that took 26 lives.

Pat Robertson, the octogenarian televangelist who recently claimed that if you are not a not Christian you are a “virus,” also claimed that God would destroy America because of same-sex marriage.

Just days after the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, Jerry Falwell blamed them — including the nearly 3000 deaths — on “the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays, and the lesbians [who have] helped [the terror attacks of September 11th] happen.” Pat Robertson agreed.

In 2012, The Advocate compiled a list of “10 Disasters the Gays Supposedly Caused.”
