Watch: Lena Dunham Commits Very Naked ‘Original Sin’ In SNL’s Adam And Eve Spoof
Lena Dunham, everyone’s favorite feminist, last night played a very naked Eve in Saturday Night Live’s spoof on all the Bible films currently being released.
So it was only natural for SNL to choose Dunham — who created, writes, and stars in HBO’s “Girls” — to star in their biblical parody, “Girl.”
Dunham plays a very questioning Eve, one not willing to settle or conform.
“Seriously,” Dunham’s Eve tells an angry God, as thunder and lightening explode, “I know I committed original sin, but at least it’s original — I think I deserve some credit for that. Or at least a publishing deal.”
She also asks Taran Killam, who plays her boyfriend Adam Driver on “Girls,” “I just want to know what we’re even doing here. Are we like man and wife or is it this situation where there’s, like, all these other girls and I’m going to find out from one of the animals?”
“What are you talking about?” Adam responded. “You’re like a part of me, literally. God made you from my rib, kid.”
In 2013, Dunham told reporters, “I am not engaged. I don’t want to get married until all gay people can get married.â€
Dunham is the author of Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s “Learned”, to be released this fall.
Remember how the GOP and religious right went nuts over Dunham’s 2012 campaign ad supporting President Barack Obama that equated “your first time†with your first time voting?
This should make them go biblically-ballistic.
