Today, History In The Making — Watch Live As Hawaii Governor Signs Same-Sex Marriage Bill
It’s been a long and challenging road to marriage equality in Hawaii, but after two decades of fighting, the battle has been won. Today, Democratic Governor Neil Abercrombie, the man who pushed lawmakers to honor the rights of same-sex couples to marry, will sign the bill into law.
You have a rare opportunity to watch history in the making. The bill signing ceremony is by invitation-only, due to security concerns, but the future will be televised, as they say!
The ceremony is likely to be short, and is scheduled for 3:00 PM Eastern Time, which is 10:00 AM local in Honolulu.
You can watch live, right here, below.
Or, you can visit the Governor’s UStream channel directly, his Facebook page, Hawaii News Now, or watch on Hawaii’s own Olelo TV.
For Olelo, a smaller pop-up box will open. You can also visit their main page, and click on Channel 55.
Congratulations!
