Target’s Same-Sex Wedding Registry Ad Is Kinda Awesome
Target last month released this wedding registry ad featuring a same-sex couple. It didn’t get much press, but it did come on the heels of Target’s sold-out LGBT-supportive T-shirt line. All the sales from those T-Shirts went to the Family Equality Council, prompting the Family Research Council (FRC), a certified hate group, to target Target for their support of same-sex marriage. FRC claimed the retail giant was disenfranchising voters’ “right†to vote on marriage and was working to put anti-gay adoption agencies out of business.
Target is on the New York Stock Exchange as NYSE:TGT.
