Perkins: Gays Are ‘In Rebellion To God’s Design,’ Turn To Suicide To ‘Fill God Vacuum’
Tony Perkins says that gay people are living “in rebellion to God’s design,” and therefore turn to suicide “to fill that God vacuum.” Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, cautions that he does not believe that people choose to be gay — “it’s a complex set of factors” — but wrongly adds that there’s “no evidence” homosexuality is genetic.

“When you’re operating outside of God’s design, you’re looking for that fulfillment and satisfaction,” Perkins says. “They think, ‘If we just get this title, or we can force society to accept this and call it normal, we’ll be happy,'” Perkins accuses gays of believing.
Claiming that even in areas where gay people are accepted, they experience higher levels of depression and suicide, Perkins says it’s because “they can’t fill that God vacuum in their lives with other behavior.”
The Family Research Council is a certified anti-gay hate group, per the Southern Poverty Law Center.
