NOM Hacked Again. Are ‘Militant Same-Sex Marriage Activists’ To Blame?
NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, has been hacked again, the second time this week. This time, the hackers limited their attack to the Twitter account of NOM president Brian Brown, and the tweets are, some might say, amusing. No doubt NOM, Brian Brown, and their followers think otherwise. And no doubt Brown will blame “militant same-sex marriage activists” again, again without any proof.

Above is a screenshot of a few tweets from the hacked account. All tweets but one have since been removed, so apparently Brown has his account back.
You’ll remember that on Wednesday, still unknown hackers got access to NOM’s Twitter account, Facebook page, website, and blog.
“In the last couple of weeks you’ve heard some pretty bad things about this organization. I must admit that we were angered when our in house documents were released but we’ve since had time to reflect on the strategies we’ve employed to divide Americans against each other on the issue of marriage,†the NOM website, very early Wednesday morning read.
On Wednesday, The New Civil Rights Movement posited:
No doubt NOM will take advantage of the hacking to attack radical radical homosexual activists who want to stifle free speech.
We were close.
Of course, Brian Brown and NOM tried to make money off the hacking, sending out a fundraising email that read:
Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Dear Marriage Supporter,
Early this morning, NOM’s online properties were maliciously hacked by militant same-sex marriage activists.
We cannot let this pass unchallenged.
First they attack us in the media with absurd accusations of racism and instigating division and hatred. Now it’s a full-on cyber attack. I NEED YOUR HELP.
Will you make one URGENT online gift right away to help NOM defend marriage
against this all-out assault by extremists who will stop at nothing?
Who knows? Perhaps it was an inside job.
