NOM Communications Director Hospitalized, In Critical Condition, After Accident
Thomas Peters, the Communications Director at NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, and a blogger who writes as the American Papist, reportedly has been hospitalized, possibly with a broken vertebra after a swimming accident.
Peters, who is very active on Twitter as @AmericanPapist, is the son of Canon Lawyer Ed Peters.
Although there has been no announcement from NOM, Catholic Vote notes this morning, “Thomas was involved in an accident yesterday evening and has sustained major injuries,” in a blog entry:
He is awake, responsive, and in stable but critical condition. Family and friends are with him.
Out of respect for Thomas and his family, we will share additional information as is appropriate.
Please keep his recovery in your prayers.
LGBT activists were also quick to offer support.
