READ:Â Anti-Gay Senator Kicked Out Of Restaurant For Comments About Gays, HIV/AIDS
To refresh your memory, Campfield is the anti-gay Senator sponsoring the “Don’t Say Gay” bill in Tennessee, and last week claimed — falsely — that it’s “virtually impossible” to contract HIV from heteroexual intercourse. Campfield also claimed that LGBT people have drastically shorter lifespans –also false — and after talking with many in the media, like Signorile himself, Campfield refuses to accept facts.

“My understanding is that it is virtually — not completely, but virtually — impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex…very rarely [transmitted],â€Â Campfield told Signorile, adding, â€What’s the average lifespan of a homosexual? it’s very short. Google it yourself.â€
Signorile recorded the audio from Campfield’s comments, and offers the text in his Huffington Post article, “Stacey Campfield, Tennessee Senator Behind ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill, On Bullying, AIDS And Homosexual ‘Glorification’.â€
“Most people realize that AIDS came from the homosexual community — it was one guy screwing a monkey, if I recall correctly, and then having sex with men. It was an airline pilot, if I recall,†Campfield, who is 43 and a Christian, also told Signorile.
Speaking about his “Don’t Say Gay†bill, Campfield claims, â€[Homosexuals] do not naturally reproduce. It has not been proven that it is nature. It happens in nature, but so does beastiality That does not make it right or something we should be teaching in school.â€
And despite the fact that two gay Tennessee teens, Jacob Rogers and Phillip Parker, have committed suicide in since last month, Campfield claims, â€That bullying thing is the biggest lark out there.â€
