Kirk Cameron: America Now Is Like Pre-Hitler Germany, Awaiting A Leader
Kirk Cameron last week, attempting to get more coverage for his film “Monumental,” and attempting to stoke fear, hosted a talk show titled “Praise the Lord,” and attempted to make the case that American today is like pre-Hitler Germany, ripe for takeover and awaiting a leader to give Americans “back their dignity.” Suggesting that Germany was only “billions of dollars in debt,” but America is “trillions of dollars in debt,” and “we want to turn things around. You’ve got to be careful because this provides the “sort of conditions that could provide the platform for someone,†like Hitler, “to step up like that and say I’ll give you back your dignity, I’ll give you back your this and your that.â€
Cameron, who fancies himself a politico-religious leader, was lambasted for weeks last month for telling Piers Morgan that homosexuality “is destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization,†and saying it is “destructive†and “unnatural.â€
Clearly, Cameron is unaware of facts, such as the fact that currently, unemployment, while still high, is the lowest it’s been in months, and the stock markets have reached the highest points they’ve seen since the mid-to-late 2000s, well before the economic downturn that pushed John McCain out of the residential race of 2008.
