J. Crew Head Jenna Lyons Is Dating A Woman And Hate Group Head Fischer Hates That
Bryan Fischer, the public face of the certified anti-gay hate group, American Family Association, today on his radio program railed once again against J. Crew President Jenna Lyons, the woman who made headlines earlier this year for appearing in her clothing company’s catalog with her son, painting his toenails pink. Fischer says that Lyons’ decision to divorce and start a relationship with another woman proves that sexual orientation is not immutable, that people can change their orientation, even from straight to gay, so gay to straight should be easy as well. Fischer, apparently is not thinking of bisexuality as an option, or that perhaps Lyons married a man because it was expected of her, or any one of a number of other possibilities.
Fischer calls Lyons painting of her son’s toenails “an effort to normalize transgenderism.” Of course, painting toenails does not make one transgender any more than watching Chaz Bno on Dancing With The Stars makes a child transgender.
“Clearly what she was doing was part of the larger sexual agenda to bring about this transformation in the way we view sexuality. No this is what’s important because realize if one person changes their sexual orientation it proves the people aren’t born that way. That’s all it takes is one to prove that the myth if you’re if you’re homosexual you were born that way everybody is homosexual is born that away, can’t change, one person changes, it disproves all of that.”
The New York Post shares some insight:
Page Six can reveal that the fashion executive Jenna is seeing, following her messy split with her husband of nine years, is Courtney Crangi, 38, the business brains behind her brother, hip celebrity jeweler Philip Crangi.
We revealed on Tuesday that Jenna, 43, and Vincent, whom she wed in 2002, are in the middle of an ugly divorce after splitting in the summer. They have a 5-year-old son, Beckett.
A fashion insider told us: “After the breakup, Jenna fell in love with Courtney, whom she had been friends with for some time. They’ve known each other for years through the fashion business.
“Courtney is an attractive blonde who balances working hard with her family.â€
Jenna and Courtney, a mother of three, have been spotted sharing romantic dinners at restaurants around the West Village and at some fashion events together. Friends say the new couple are quietly open about their relationship.
Courtney runs the business side of CFDA award-winning Philip Crangi Jewelry and the line Giles & Brother, which is a favorite of Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and Rachel McAdams.
