Herman Cain, Another Stupid Republican Who Doesn’t Get The First Amendment
Today, Herman Cain joins the growing list of stupid Republicans who just don’t get the First Amendment. When you hate science, accuse colleges of stripping people’s faith from them and “indoctrinating” them into becoming liberals, and even want to dismantle the Department of Education, it makes sense that you would not understand the concepts of “free speech” and “First Amendment rights.”
Today, after posting one of the most vile political ads ever created, Herman Cain was distraught upon learning YouTube pulled his ad. So what did Mr. 999 do? Why, he went straight to Twitter to complain his “free speech” rights were being violated.
“This is free speech, this is free speech under #YouTube. I have some questions!,” Cain tweeted.
“Free speech under YouTube”? What does that even mean?
“Congress shall make no law…abridging freedom of speech.â€
Mr. Cain, just how ignorant and stupid are you?
“Free speech” is related to the government prohibiting you from speaking — not Google or YouTube!
You don’t have “free speech” rights on YouTube. If they call your disgusting and vile rabbit-killing ad “spam,” or a “scam,” or “commercially deceptive content,” well, you’re out of luck unless you can get them to change their mind.
But don’t complain your “free speech” rights are being compromised — because they aren’t.
This is why idiots like Herman Cain and Sarah Palin — whose ludicrous 2010 Twitter defense of Dr. Laura: “Dr.Laura:don’t retreat…reload! (Steps aside bc her 1st Amend.rights ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence”isn’t American, not fair”)” exemplify a complete lack of understanding of free speech — deserve exactly what they got from the American public: the boot.
If you don’t understand the Constitution, you shouldn’t be allowed to hold office — much less, the highest office in the land.
Seriously, how embarrassing is this for these people?
Get a clue.
Read. For once.
