Lt. Dan Choi delivers his “Truth And Consequences” speech at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy, Jr. School of Government Forum.
Charlie Clements, Executive Director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy introduces Lt. Dan Choi, a gay officer in the United States Army. Clements tells the audience that the U.S. military has discharged so many gay soldiers they don’t have enough soldiers to play “Taps” at soldier’s funerals. Disgraceful.
Of course, there’s also the issue that we have discharged so many gay servicemembers that there aren’t enough Arabic linguists.
Take the time to watch the entire speech. Choi is moving beyond words.
Lt. Choi, who has recently, twice now, chained himself to the White House gates, tells the audience, “Look at me now, I am here.”
