Dan Choi At Harvard: Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’s Truth And Consequences
Charlie Clements, Executive Director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy introduces Lt. Dan Choi, a gay officer in the United States Army. Clements tells the audience that the U.S. military has discharged so many gay soldiers they don’t have enough soldiers to play “Taps” at soldier’s funerals. Disgraceful.
Of course, there’s also the issue that we have discharged so many gay servicemembers that there aren’t enough Arabic linguists.
Take the time to watch the entire speech. Choi is moving beyond words.

“They scoff at the sacrifices of those who are willing to engage in civil disobedience, and they take stock in venerable titles…”
