Chick-Fil-A: Insider Hypocrisy And Gloating
Dan Cathy and the folks at Chick-Fil-A have been gloating for the past 24 hours over their amazing sales day — the “best day ever” according to news reports based on Dan Cathy’s own comments.
Above, witness an official Chick-Fil-A Marketing Department press release about yesterday’s “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.â€
Below, witness a tweet from none other than Pastor Rick Warren of the Saddleback Church, a man who, despite his claims, has ties to Uganda’s “Kill The Gays” bill.
Yes, Rick Warren’s tweet says, “@dancathy just called me. #ChickFilA has already set a world record today, with 7 more hrs to go in the West. #OutOfChicken”
Yes, Chick-Fil-A does not comment on sales. Unless they have an unpaid spokesperson who is a Southern Baptist Minister and former Governor and former GOP presidential candidate, aka Mike Huckabee, trolling for them.
Not that any of this matter.
It’s not about the chicken. It’s not about Chick-Fil-A. It’s about fueling the culture wars and funding anti-gay groups to the tune of $5 million. It’s about supporting groups that literally lobby Congress to not condemn Uganda’s “Kill The Gays” bill.
It’s about hate. In the name of religion.
