Catholic League President Bill Donohue Attacks Catholics On Fox News
Catholic League president Bill Donohue, who is always attacking someone — usually liberals or Democrats, or gays, or pro-gay liberal Democrats — yesterday went on Fox Business News’ Lou Dobbs Tonight and attacked Catholics. First, he attacked Catholics who are attacking Archbishop Timothy Dolan for inviting President Obama to the annual Al Smith Dinner. Next, Donohue in essence explained why it’s the Catholic League, and not the United Catholics of America.
Donohue throughout the segment refereed to “practicing Catholics,” the “Piety Police,” “Pelosi Catholics,” and “Sebellius Catholics.”
Catholics should know that Bill Donohue does not speak for you or your faith. Bill Donohue is Pope Benedict XVI and Timothy Archbishop Dolan’s personal pit bull.
Anyone who pays the New York Times to run a full page ad annually defending pedophile priests, who gloats that a pedophile priest enabler was convicted of “only” one felony as opposed to three, who says, “I want the law to discriminate against all alternative lifestyles,” is not speaking for America’s Catholics, who, as Dobbs in the video, below, mentions, support President Obama over Mitt Romney by a 50%-37% margin.
And while he doesn’t mention it, Bill Donohue isn;t happy with Mitt Romney either. Donohue was “astonished†that Mitt Romney refused to weigh in on Chick-Fil-A.
Donohue, speaking of Chick-Fil-A, just recently attacked “white and well-educated†supporters of gay marriage who are exhibiting “madness laced with fascistic elements.â€
