Stating, “I write these books because I try to correct things people believe that are just false,” Ann Coulter went on “The View” today and said the O.J. Simpson verdict was good for Black America, and that Liberals have race-mongered. Coulter also claims “Republicans have never” engaged in voter suppression, which, as we learned today, is false.
Coulter has been plugging her new book, Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama.
Ultimately, Whoopi Goldberg, although bleeped, says Coulter’s understanding of the history of race and Black America are “bullshit.”
“Oh, you know what, hold up Ms. Coulter, please stop. Please stop. If you’re going to talk about race, at least, at least know what you’re talking about,” Whoopi Goldberg said, exasperated.
“Well, tell me what you know about being black,” Goldberg said. “Your facts are a little shaky. I mean, you’re saying that because liberals have abandoned black people now—what? I don’t get it. I don’t understand.”
Coulter, displaying her racist and conservative mentality by claiming that because of “Republican policies” implemented by Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush judges, and Rudy Giuliani, “tens of thousands of Black lives were saved.”
Coulter claimed this is a “fact,” but, of course, offered zero proof.
“Your, your, your facts are just a little shaky,” Goldberg responded.
“I don’t think Liberals ever cared about black people,” Coulter said. “Five minutes after the Civil Rights Act of ’64, they start calling everything that has nothing to do with black people a ‘civil rights issue’: abortion on demand, homeless rights…”
Coulter said that Republicans “embrace” African Americans, “but we’re not embraced back.”
Coulter also called the Southern Strategy, “folklore.” Goldberg reminded Coulter, “We weren’t allowed to vote!”
Barbara Walters toward the end asked Coulter,”Do you just write these books and try to find something to make everybody go, ‘Ew!’?”
Sherri Shepherd told Coulter her books are so hateful it makes people not want to read them.
