Watch: Four Same-Sex Couples Marry Atop Sears Float At Chicago Gay Pride Parade
Sears held a contest for same-sex couples wanting to marry, and featured the four winners on their float at Chicago’s Pride parade.
More than one million people witnessed four same-sex couples tying the knot atop the Sears float during Chicago’s Pride Parade on June 29. The couples had all entered to win the Sears Shop Your Way Pride Wedding Contest. The teal and white float, adorned with banners touting Sears’ Gift Registry, served as a marriage platform in more ways than one.
Prizes for the contest included a travel allowance to the parade, a week-long honeymoon, a wedding license, and a shopping allowance at Sears.
But it is this beautiful video that may be the lasting impression for many.

Sears is not just Sears, but K-Mart as well. So anyone (NOM?) thinking of launching a boycott should keep that in mind…
Uh oh. Does @NOMupdate know Sears made a commercial celebrating gay #marriage? Time to #DumpSears? https://t.co/MIxzUxPnLc #LGBT
