Watch: Gays ‘Are Cooperating With The Devil’ Says GOP Candidate

In discussing a judge’s recent decision that a Colorado bakery discriminated against a same-sex couple, Pastor and Colorado House Republican candidate Gordon Klingenschmitt decided that gay people and the judge — not the bakery — are at fault. And he used Martin Luther King, Jr., to claim that it’s OK to discriminate against gay people because of their “character.”

Klingenschmitt, who for some unknown reason goes by the nickname “Dr. Chaps,” said, “I admit that the two men … are humans — they’re men!” That was his defense against the judge’s position that discrimination is dehumanizing.

But, Klingenschmitt continued on his “Pray In Jesus Name” Internet show today, when gay people “manifest sexual immorality, there’s something inside of them that is manifesting.”

“On this show, we like to discern the spirits and I would say that’s a demonic spirit that is manifesting inside of them and sinning by an act of their consent, of their free will, they’re cooperating with the Devil and there is something unhuman in side of them … There is something nonhuman inside of them and that should be discerned as something not human.”

So, gay people are gay because the devil made them do it — but “by an act of their consent”?

“Dr. Chaps” also tried to co-opt Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s words to give him the right to discriminate against LGBT people “on the basis of their character.”

Watch:

Klingenschmitt, by the way, is now trying to get the judge impeached — a typical right wing move that was successful in Iowa, after that state’s Supreme Court unanimously decided their constitution could not ban same-sex couples from marrying.

I never heard or read Dr. King claiming it was OK to discriminate based on anything.
What a Summers Eve product!

Nope. More uneducated trash from the uneducated, blood thirsty, fascist barbarian trash that is Gordon Klingenschmitt who would make MLK Jr. sick to his stomach.

Sounds like a closet case. "Dr. Chaps" thinks all men experience homosexual desires, but only some men — gays — act on them. He thinks this because HE experiences homosexual desires himself. Ditto any man who thinks gays are merely weak-willed hedonists giving in to the impulses "we all feel" but only the righteous repress: Alan Keyes, Rick Santorum, and all the anti-gay GOP closet cases — many of whom are eventually caught tapping their foot in an airport men's room or hiring a rentboy as "travel companion."

I was thinking the same thing. A closet case if I've ever seen one. Him and Bryan Fischer.

One suspects Klingandshit will go down to defeat.

Klingenschmitt may be the only chaplain ever to be cashiered from the service because he embarrassed the armed forces by being too Christian.

The fact that this man isn't in a psychiatric facility is an indictment of our mental health care system.

Is it just me, or does he look like he was separated at birth from Peter Boyle's character in "Young Frankenstein"?
