Ryan Murphy, creator of NBC’s “The New Normal” is going all out, taking on both the Catholic Church for its anti-gay policies, and gay people who “demanded the right to fight for their country, but for their souls? Nope.”

One Million Moms and the Catholic League will freak out in 5, 4, 3…

As I’ve stated before, I wasn’t a fan of “The New Normal” after the first episode, but each one gets better and better. Last night’s was particularly poignant.

The Catholic priest in “The Godparent trap,” last night’s episode, likens the Pope to a “nutty uncle,” and delivers an excellent monologue urging gay people to fight for their rights from the only place we haven’t — much: the Catholic Church.

Pope Benedict XVI has declared an international war on gay people and marriage equality, and yet America’s Catholics are among the most accepting and supportive of the LGBT community.

I'm surprised One Misguided Mom hasn't hasn't issued a press release yet. It's been almost 24 hours.

Maybe her head exploded?

I absolutely LOVE this show!! I love how they address so many different topics, and do so in a way that gets your attention without being "disrespectful" towards anyone or anything else (if that makes sense). Looking forward to what the rest of the season has to offer :)

Wow, that scene was powerful. Hopefully the message will get through to a few Catholics.

I am a MtF and I know the Catholics need to change but living here in small town Idaho I assure you so does the Mormons. They are even worse

What utter crap. That entire speech by the priest? Said no actual Catholic priest, ever.
