WATCH: White Supremacist March Organizer Literally Chased Through Charlottesville Streets
‘Her Name Was Heather’
“Unite the Right†rally organizer and white nationalist Jason Kessler was attacked and chased from the steps of Charlottesville’s City Hall on Sunday afternoon.
Kessler was attempting to hold a press conference in the city, still reeling from the death of counter-protestor Heather Heyer and the presence of white nationalist neo-Nazis, when citizens quickly drowned him out.
NCRM cautions, the videos below contain graphic imagery and foul language.
Initially, Kessler was met with booing and cries of “Shame!â€:

Kessler was subsequently attacked (which, it should go without saying, NCRM does not condone) and chased through the streets. The striking scenes were caught from multiple angles, and included shouts of ‘Her name was Heather!’:

Tensions are high in Charlottesville and throughout the country, with mounting criticism of the President of the United States’ refusal to denounce white supremacism, white nationalism or neo-Nazism.
An unnamed White House spokesperson condemned white supremacy in a statement emailed to Trump’s traveling press pool on Sunday following the president’s silence.
