“Sad Little Man”: Twitter Responds To Trump’s Claim That “White House Is Running VERY WELL”
“This totally sounds like something you’d tweet when things are going very well.”
Don’t believe the main stream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL. I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it.

One day after calling the media “the enemy of the American people,” President Donald Trump claimed Saturday morning on Twitter that his White House in in fact “running VERY WELL.”Â
“Don’t believe the main stream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL,” he wrote. “I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it.”Â
Trump’s White House, of course, has been racked by weeks of leaks and turmoil. As for his claim that he inherited a mess, which he also made repeatedly during a news conference Thursday, PolitiFact notes that in terms of the economy and foreign policy, it’s  largely false.Â
In reality, things are going so badly for Trump that he was compelled to schedule a campaign rally Saturday afternoon near Orlando, to try to right the ship:Â
Will be having many meetings this weekend at The Southern White House. Big 5:00 P.M. speech in Melbourne, Florida. A lot to talk about!

Trump is also spending his third consecutive weekend at his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida, and on Saturday morning he reportedly headed out for yet another round of golf. Meanwhile, anti-Trump “Not My President” rallies are planned in more than 25 cities across the country on President’s Day Weekend. Â
Here’s how Twitter responded.Â

Seriously, was Reagan’s first instinct every day to whine? Bush 41? 43? Eisenhower? Man up. Please. https://t.co/Sr4fVOKIXf

Just been watching the BBC’s Obama Years documentary on his first 100 days in 2009 – he really did inherit a mess. No comparison. https://t.co/8UPTpJLggZ

No, Mr. President. There’s not a lot to talk about, there’s a lot to DO! Stop the tweets, stop the rallies/vacations & finally get to work. https://t.co/0GS3LbytlF

The most dangerous ‘enemy of the people’ is presidential lying–always. Attacks on press by @realDonaldTrump more treacherous than Nixon’s.
