Trump Ratchets Up Threats Against North Korea While Lashing Out at China
‘There Will Never Be a Friendly Solution to the North Korea Problem if This Continues to Happen!’ Trump Warns
President Donald Trump is lashing out at China and ratcheting up his threats against North Korea, suggesting that if China doesn’t do what he wants the possibility for war will increase.
“Caught RED HANDED – very disappointed that China is allowing oil to go into North Korea,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning. “There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korea problem if this continues to happen!”
Trump several times this year has threatened war with Pyongyang, promising in August “fire and fury like the world has never seen” and threatening to “totally destroy” North Korea.

Trump’s “recklessness” is making war with North Korea increasingly likely, says former Obama administration national security advisor Colin Kahl:
“North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs are rapidly colliding with Trump’s recklessness to make the possibility of a second Korean war the single greatest threat to world peace in 2018.â€

The Financial Times suggests Trump’s rhetoric is hot air:
Donald Trump’s threats of ‘fire and fury’ have yet to be matched by the logistical and military build-up that would almost certainly precede any strike against North Korea https://t.co/zktTRfz60Z
