Trump Falsely Claims ‘ObamaCare Is Dead’ (Video)
TrumpCare Says Trump ‘Is Going to Be Fantastic’
President Donald Trump went further than he has in the past, declaring now that “ObamaCare is dead.” Speaking from the Oval Office near the end of a meeting with several conservative Republican lawmakers, the President also claimed that he has convinced them all to change their positions on the Republican plan to repeal and “replace” ObamaCare from “no” to “yes.”
To the cameras, Trump said, “I want people to know ObamaCare is dead, it’s a dead healthcare plan.”
“Only because everyone knows its on its last, dying feet, the fake news is trying to say good things about it, the fake media. There is no good news about Obamacare, ObamaCare is dead,” he repeated.
In fact, the Congressional Budget Office report on TrumpCare said if Congress were to take no action at all on ObamaCare the halth care market would remain “stable.” 12 million people signed up for ObamaCare for this year.
Trump also insisted he is “one hundred percent behind” the Republican plan, and that “the press has not been speaking properly about how great this is going to be.”Â
That’s false. TrumpCare, in this frequently-cited example, would force a 64-year old to pay more than half his or her income in health insurance premiums:
CBO estimates monthly health insurance premium for a single 64-year-old who makes $26,500 would jump more than 700% (from $1,700 to $14,600) pic.twitter.com/W59DHCfagv

“This is a great plan, this is going to be fantastic,” Trump insisted, falsely.
