  • Tony Perkins: Now That More Gays Will Be Marrying Out-Of-Wedlock Births Will Increase (Video)

Watch as FRC president Tony Perkins insists nationwide marriage equality will increase the number of out-of-wedlock births.

Does Family Research Council president Tony Perkins not know where babies come from?

That seems a valid question given his latest extreme claims designed to ensure funds continue to flow into his hate group's coffers.

"I think we're going to see the further deconstruction of the family," Perkins warned in an interview with the Washington Examiner on Saturday, after the Supreme Court ruled states cannot ban same-sex marriage.

The nationwide legalization of same-sex marriage by the Supreme Court will have a huge impact on America and the family, Perkins insisted.

"We're going to see the impact on marriage as we've seen in some of the Scandinavian countries," Perkins, pulling old debunked data out of a hat, continued.

"It means we're going to see more children born out of wedlock," Perkins insisted.

When pressed on that claim, Perkins was forced to backtrack, stating, "any policy step – like you go back to no-fault divorce – we have seen this escalation in out-of-wedlock births, we've seen the deescalation of marriage rates as a result of policy changes that move away from the historic meaning of marriage."

Perkins was then forced to further backtrack, saying, "what will be the exact consequences and what will be the timing of them? I don't know."

Most of the entire video is Perkins speaking on marriage. His quoted remarks come starting at about the 5:40 mark in the video above.

Gays marrying = more kids out of wedlock? How?

A lot this is hollow rhetoric, like gay bedrooms being thrust into the public square. What does that even mean?

And I can understand a parent who, based on their religious beliefs not want their child to learn about gay marriage in school but, their religion doesn’t get to dictate what is taught in schools (1st Amend.)

Beyond that, if your religion is against gays, blacks, women, etc., it doesn’t make it legal to discriminate.

NO AUTO-PLAY VIDEOS! That is the MOST annoying thing when you have multiple tabs open and one randomly starts playing a video over your music stream. Especially when the video is 2 or 3 clicks below the fold and not visible at first glance. Do your viewers a favor and let them play a video when they want it, not when you tell them they have to.

Is that why Bristol’s knocked up again?

So THAT is why Bristol Palin got knocked up again!

It is over Tony. People favor Gay marriage rights 2 to one now. and among younger people it’s 3 or 4 or 5 to 1 depending on which sub group you look at. even white evangelical protestants under 35 favor it. In a decade or two, teens and young adults will wonder what the fuss was about. Time to find something to get bent out of shape about.

Well you’re some special kind of stupid, eh?

This is the most ignorant most closed minded idiotic rhetoric ever espoused out of anyone’s mouth since the abolishment of slavery, desegregation and the freedom of interracial marriage. With all of these decisions we saw a spike in the number of blacks patronizing businesses that were once for whites only. More black kids bused to predominantly white neighborhoods. More mixed race children as a result of legalization to marry. Hell we saw more free black people after slavery. Duh!!! These things happen as a result of change. Now to think that more children will be born out of wedlock or that religious freedoms will be stricken down because of same sex marriages is far fetched and is a statement to further polarize opposing sides. As it seems to me he wants to thrust his beliefs on the rest of America the place where people came to avoid religious intolerance. The separation of church and state were created for this very reason. Citizens who are against changes that progress society as a whole always use Religion as the shield to hide behind and mask the true color of hypocrisy.

Now that we have gay equality, no man will ever want a woman! Study it out!!!

Of course, now it makes sense. Gays are responsible for Bristol Palin’s new out-of-wedlock sex and pregnancy.

He’s right! On the same day
SCOTUS ruled in favor of gay marriage, Bristol Palin announced she’s having ANOTHER out-of-wedlock baby.

Fucking idiot.didn’t know men could get pregnant? They usually adopt somthing more people should do instead of these hetero couples having 15 babies and living off welfare….. 👌

for someone who works for a group with ‘family’ in the name you’d think he knew how babies were made

When all you know is hate, hate is all you can talk about…and Perkins only knows hate.

…And what are the mechanics of that one wonders, as I recall that fundy teabaggers bump their gums to move their bowels, eh?

LMAO! This is what happens to bigots who think knowing biblical hatred, means they know things without ever having to learn them.
