  • Franklin Graham Wants Only Christians To Be Mayors To Fight 'Evil And Wicked' LGBT 'Predators'

Anti-Gay Christian Activist Says LGBT Civil Rights Are 'Garbage'

Franklin Graham has issued another vile attack on the LGBT community. Last Friday Graham, the son of evangelical icon Billy Graham, took to social media to call transgender people "predators and sexually perverted people," and said LGBT people don't deserve civil rights.

This week the 63-year old Christian evangelical activist spoke before a crowd in Atlanta, calling for Americans to elect only Christians to the mayorships of all cities. Graham claimed that then the "garbage" of LGBT civil rights could be thwarted.

“Can you imagine the impact if every community and every city across this great land of ours was run by Christian men and women in that office as mayor,” Graham asked, “the difference that that would make in our cities, if we had Christian mayors?”

Truth be told, well of 70 percent of America is Christian, so it's unclear how much more Christian the mayors across the nation can get.

He went on to claim that in Charlotte, North Carolina – his father's birthplace – "90 percent of Christians" did not vote, and thus a mayor whose primary "goal" is to exend nondiscrimination protections to LGBT people was elected.

“And we got a woman and her goal is the gay-lesbian agenda,” Graham told the audience, “trying to get transgenders into the bathrooms so that if a person wakes up in the morning and they feel like they’re a woman that’s a man and he wants to go into a ladies’ restroom then they can do that. And that’s her goal," Graham insisted.

"And I can tell you right now that that’s wicked and that’s evil. Men belong in men’s bathrooms and women belong in women’s bathrooms and we don’t need men and predators going into women’s bathrooms, I’m just telling you.”

“Now, that’s what happens when Christians don’t vote,” he continued. “That’s what we get, this is the kind of garbage we get.”

Of course, most Christians not only believe LGBT people already have full civil rights, they also believe they should have full civil rights.

Not sure what Mark is harshing on me about (you freak!?). I’m just sharing observations of how most people view gays and pedophiles as being very little different from each other. Gay activists have worked hard to establish a differentiation in the public mind, but with little success. He doesn’t seem too perceive the value of keeping ones private life private, which was my original point. So everybody knows where the gays are and nobody knows where the pedophiles are. They went deep underground years ago when the witch hunts devised by the gay activists rounded up weak minded individuals to confess to crimes they didn’t commit to create the illusion of a real threat of satanist pedophiles under our beds- all to make the gays look like good guys. The quacks who perpetrated that scam ran out of victims and moved on to create ever increasing numbers of unfortunates under the delusion that hey are transgender.
There is true evil out there, but it’s neither the pedos nor the gays, but the people who create false belief systems. Now that the gays have announced who and where they are, who do you think is the next group to be easy pickings for victimization? Not those who have kept their private lives private but those who have publicized them.

@joe, We did not align ourselves with pedophiles, pedophiles tried to latch onto our cause and ride our coat tails to the supreme court. Also, gays did not draw attention to ourselves by publicizing private behaviors (what ever that’s supposed to mean) and demanding approval. We demanded to be treated equally under the US constitution, and has nothing to do with our sex lives, but who we love. When it comes to pedophiles, most pedophiles identify as straight, not gay. Just because we’re gay, doesn’t mean that we are attracted to children, nor do we condone the raping of a child. Some of us do love children, as sons and daughters, not sex partners, you freak!

If you can legislate against pedos, you can legislate against gays. But as in Watership Down, “first you must catch them.” Most people find the distinction between the two to be arbitrary at best. The point is that the gays drew attention to themselves by publicizing private behaviors and demanding approval. And the vast majority of people were grossly offended and responded with appropriate backlash. The only reason they didn’t embrace the pedos is that they needed a scapegoat to create the illusion of a common enemy for solidarity with the straights.

“Pedos” don’t have a place in this conversation as they ARE criminals. As for the rest of his rant I say this "Pay the taxes your “church” should be paying as you’ve taken it into politics". Franklin Graham and his ilk are the true evil in America.

shouldn’t he spend some time squatting in a corner, smearing himself with fecal matter and ranting about the evil of the jews, just like dear old dad?

He is one of the most anti-Christian Christians I’ve ever seen. He’s given a huge platform because of his wealth, and he’s really dangerous.

Frankie Boy has is backward- the only people in my community that get arrested for molesting kids are Baptist preachers and that is the truth. My community is the largest city in the state of Tennessee!

The only people who have ever tried to recruit me are Christians.

Vile, vile person, or a reasonable facsimile of a person. I just don’t get why they have to demonize our lives? We are every bit as good as they are, and better. We’re not spreading hate, which makes them the haters. Oh, and Franky, there is no litmus test for office in any state, and if there are, they are going against the constitution.

Maybe it wasn’t that 90% of “Christians” stayed home and didn’t vote, maybe it’s that most people in general, no matter their religion, think everyone should be treated with respect…unlike your evil self, Frank.

Of course, if everybody kept their private lives private like civilized people do, we wouldn’t have issues like this, because neither Graham nor the rest of us would have any clue that gays, pedos, bis, etc. etc even exist, other than whatever discreet involvement any particular person might have. But there’s always folks that have higher priorities than getting along, like getting into other peoples business, or shoving their business in other people’s faces and demanding approval, or loudly trumpeting that their way, and only their way, is the right one (common LGBT rhetoric ranking right in there with the soapbox fire and brimstone anti- everything orator.) Rap on, brothers and sisters. There are much more important things in need of attention in this world…Like the fact that we accept that it is possible for for even one person to be in a condition of homelessness without immediately taking emergency services steps to correct the problem. There’s some seriously sick and skewed priorities in a society that pointlessly debate peoples private lives while ignoring true blatant social injustice.
