‘MERYL STREEP FOR PRESIDENT’: Liberals on Twitter Right Now Are Crying Tears of Joy for Streep’s Take-Down of Trump
‘I Would Vote the Hell Out of Meryl Streep as President’
Meryl Streep delivered a beautiful, heart-wrenching, exhilarating, triumphant, strong-willed take-down of President-elect Donald Trump at the Golden Globes Sunday night, without even mentioning his name.
“It made its intended audience laugh,” Streep said of Trump’s “performance,” the one he put on by mocking a disabled reporter. “And show their teeth. It was that moment, when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country, imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back.”
Liberals on Twitter exploded with tears of joy, respect, and amazement.
