Breaking: Vatican Now Confirms Kim Davis Met With The Pope
The Pope did meet with Kim Davis, according to several news outlets that received confirmation from the Vatican.
Major new outlets contacted the Vatican overnight, asking if they would confirm Pope Francis met with Kim Davis, as her attorney Mat Staver announced Tuesday evening. All received a similar response, essentially, “the Vatican will neither confirm nor deny” a meeting took place.
But one hour ago Buzzfeed reports the Vatican has now confirmed Pope Francis met with Kim Davis.

“When asked if the meeting took place, Vatican Spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi told BuzzFeed News, ‘yes,'” Buzzfeed’s Jason Wells and Tom Namako report.
“He added, ‘I don’t deny the meeting has taken place. But I have no comment to add.'”

NBC News, via MSNBC at 11:39 AM EDT reported on air that they can also confirm the meeting took place:
On Monday and Tuesday, literally hours before announcing the Pope had met with Davis, Mat Staver and Liberty Counsel were embroiled in a scandal over his false claim that 100,000 Peruvians had gathered to pray for Davis.
