Trump Serves Up Massively False Claim About His 91 Criminal Charges

At the end of his four years as President, The Washington Post published its final, regularly updated list of all the “false or misleading claims” Donald Trump made, totaling 30,573.

Also at the end of his four years in office, McSweeny’s published, “Lest We Forget the Horrors: A Catalog of Trump’s Worst Cruelties, Collusions, Corruptions, and Crimes: The Complete Listing: Atrocities 1 – 1,056.”

On Monday, Trump told a shocking falsehood about the 91 criminal charges he’s facing, charges in four different indictments across three jurisdictions:

They don’t exist – he was never indicted, not according to Donald Trump, who made that claim during a campaign event in New Hampshire.

“Mr. President,” a reporter asked Trump on Monday, “you said Sidney Powell wasn’t your attorney, are you concerned that you won’t be covered by attorney-client privilege?”

“No, not at all,” Trump replied. “We did nothing – This is all Biden. Indictments, and impeachments, and this is all about Biden, he can’t do anything right. The only thing they know how to do is cheat on elections and election fraud. This is all Biden’s. All of these indictments that you see. I was never indicted. Practically never heard the word. It wasn’t a word that registered.”

Again, that’s false.

“Former president Donald Trump faces a total of 91 charges across four criminal cases,” The Washington Post reported in August. “They include 44 federal charges and 47 state charges, all of them felonies. Trump has denied wrongdoing in each case.”
