Hot on the heels of President Donald Trump’s false claim to having won re-election just 11 hours ago, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien on a call with reporters Wednesday afternoon falsely declared the president has won Pennsylvania.
No major media outlet has called Pennsylvania for either candidate nor has the State of Pennsylvania.
More thsan one million ballots remain uncounted.
“We are declaring a victory in Pennsylvania,” Stepien said on the call, according to multiple reporters, including the Senior White House Reporter for NBC News Digital:
Stepien also reportedly said he was declaring victory now to prevent Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Tom Wolf from delivering “magical” ballots.
Regardless of Stepien’s declaration, Trump or Biden will win the state when the Pennsylvania Secretary of State declares the winner, and there is no such thing as “magical” ballots.
